Rayat College of Law organized Project Sakhi 20
Hoshiarpur:- The NSS unit of Rayat College of Law, Railmajra, organized Project Sakhi 2.0, a sanitary napkin distribution campaign, in the slums near IIT Road, Ropar, with an aim to promote menstrual hygiene awareness and community welfare.
During this campaign, NSS volunteers actively participated in distributing sanitary napkins and biscuits among women and children from the poor category. Before the distribution, Dr. Sohnu, Program Officer, NSS guided the students and briefed them about the objective of the campaign, its social relevance and how the outreach activity should be conducted while interacting respectfully with the beneficiaries.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of NSS volunteers, who sensitively engaged with the local community and conveyed the importance of cleanliness, health and awareness.
Dr. Monika Sharma appreciated the sincere efforts of the NSS unit and especially appreciated Dr. Sohnu for his continuous dedication and continuous contribution in organizing meaningful social welfare activities through NSS. She encouraged the volunteers to continue such efforts for the betterment of the society.
