Ravneet Bittus troubles increase Recovery notice of Rs 1762 lakh issued

New Delhi:- Union Minister of State Ravneet Bittu has been issued a recovery notice of Rs 17.62 lakh. This notice has been issued by the Bhakra Beas Management Board. It has been alleged that Bittu is keeping two Bhakra Beas Management Board houses allotted to him in Nangal Township Colony without any valid possession.
These houses were allotted to Bittu during his tenure as Congress MP (Anandpur Sahib, 2009-14). The special thing is that one of these houses (48-I) is still being used as a Congress office. Despite giving repeated notices, Minister Bittu failed to respond. After this, the Bhakra Beas Management Board started collecting rent from him. The board has now issued a recovery notice for this.
According to sources, several notices were sent to Minister Bittu to vacate the house, but he did not respond. Due to this encroachment, the board started levying penalty rates on these houses. Now, the board has sent a recovery notice of ?17.62 lakh for non-payment of rent. Sources say that the minister has not responded to this notice yet.
The matter escalated in September when it was found that the Congress office in Nangal is still registered in Bittu's name. Let us tell you that Ravneet Bittu had left the Congress and joined the BJP and is now a minister in the central government.
