Sangrur/Sunam, August 1:- As part of the Punjab Government's special campaign commemorating the 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, a documentary highlighting the life, philosophy and outstanding contribution of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj towards social reform was screened at village Ram Nagar Sivia.
Addressing the gathering, village Sarpanch Hakam Singh said that Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, through his divine teachings and exemplary life, propagated the timeless values of equality, universal brotherhood, truth, dignity of labour and humanity. He said that such initiatives play a significant role in acquainting the younger generation with the life, philosophy and rich legacy of Guru Sahib while inspiring them to imbibe his ideals in their daily lives.
Appreciating the Punjab Government's initiative to disseminate the teachings and philosophy of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj across the State, he said that the campaign would further reinforce the values of social equality, communal harmony and mutual brotherhood among the people.
A large number of villagers, Panchayat members and youth attended the screening and drew inspiration from the life and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj.
