Ram Kishan Gujjars pain spilled after resigning
Ambala, March 18:- Ram Kishan Gujjar, who had resigned from the post of Congress working president over cross-voting during the Rajya Sabha elections, was seen in anger today. While talking to reporters at the Public Works Department Rest House in Narayangarh, Ambala, his inner pain spilled out. He made several serious revelations regarding the internal situation of the party, the Rajya Sabha elections and the allegations of cross-voting.
Gujjar clearly said that serious allegations like cross-voting should not have been made without evidence. He warned that if false allegations are made against him or his colleagues, he also has a lot to say/tell and he will not hesitate to send legal notices to the accusers.
He also said that if Shelly Chaudhary (Ram Kishan Gujjar's wife, Congress MLA from Narayangarh) is to be opposed, it should be done politically, but it is wrong to make personal and baseless allegations.
He clarified that no one within the party listened to him and there was no benefit in staying where he was not listened to and insulted and due to this he had to leave the Congress party. He said that he will now consult his supporters and decide on his future strategy. Recalling his political journey, Gujjar said that his family has a long association with Haryana politics.
His father had contested the first election after the formation of the state. He himself started his career with the Congress party, working in both the ruling and opposition parties. Gujjar alleged that the Congress party has been struggling with internal strife for a long time and the grassroots workers are bearing the brunt of it. Dragging Shelly Chaudhary's name into controversy during the Rajya Sabha elections was wrong and damaged the party's image.
He said that Shelly Chaudhary was briefly stopped by a BJP observer during voting which was completely unfair. After this, her meeting with Tarun Bhandari was also made an unnecessary issue even though she had a long-standing relationship with him.
