Pathankot:- Recently, on the arrival of Prof. Baldev Balli and Navtej Garhdiwala in Pathankot, the Pathankot branch of the Progressive Writers’ Association organized a literary gathering and Kavi Darbar at Pal Tech Zone on Dalhousie Road, Pathankot. The event was presided over by renowned story writer Shaili Baljit.
Before the Kavi Darbar began, Prof. Baldev Singh Balli, Navtej Garhdiwala and the poets present formally released Raj Gurdaspuri’s seventh ghazal collection “Kuchh Taan Kamaal Kariye” and congratulated him on the occasion.
During the poetry session, Naresh Dinanagri presented a remarkable ghazal. Well-known Punjabi ghazal poet Raj Gurdaspuri recited his ghazal in a very beautiful style and received great appreciation. Pal Gurdaspuri recited a few couplets and an emotional ghazal. Singer Satish Vashisht presented a song, while Shaili Baljit recited some very subtle and refined ghazal couplets.
Dr. Sukhwinder presented a very good poem, while Manmohan Dhakalvi recited a beautiful poem. Poet Navtej Garhdiwala, who had come from Garhdiwala, presented a deeply meaningful nazm and received much appreciation. In the end, Prof. Baldev Balli concluded the Kavi Darbar at a high note by reciting an open poem.
At the conclusion of the gathering, Pal Gurdaspuri congratulated Raj Gurdaspuri on behalf of everyone on the release of his ghazal collection and thanked all those present for attending the event.
