Garhshankar:- A quiz competition on the topic of freedom struggle dedicated to Independence Day was organized by the Department of History and Political Science under the leadership of Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera at Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar, which is running under the management of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. 
Five teams participated in the competition, out of which Simran and Manvi secured first position, Harshpreet Kaur, Lovepreet Kaur and Dia Rani secured second position, Briksha Devi, Amanpreet Kaur and Chanda Kumari secured third position. 
Addressing on this occasion, Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera said that the independence of the country is the result of sacrifices of countless martyrs and freedom fighters. 
Therefore, we should take inspiration from the struggle and patriotism of martyrs and contribute to the unity, integrity and progress of the country. It is the need of the hour to connect the young generation with the history of the freedom struggle. He motivated the students to participate enthusiastically in such competitions. 
On this occasion, students participated actively and displayed their knowledge about freedom movements. On this occasion, Dr. Amandeep Kaur Dhillon, Dr. Harwinder Kaur, Dr. Arvinder Kaur, Prof. Deepika, Prof. Priyanka Kanwar and Prof. Amandeep Kaur were present.
