Qawwalis will resonate at Baba Kalandar Sahibs shrine on November 17th

Karnal, November 15: The annual Urs and Bhandara of Baba Bu Ali Shah Kalandar Maharaj will be held on November 17th at Dargah Sharif, Kalandari Gate, Karnal. The annual fair, Bhandara, and "Mehfil-e-Qawwali - Shan-e-Qandar" will be organized on this occasion. The procession will begin at 9 a.m. from Darbar Shri Kalandar Sahib, Yad Sarai Jundla Gate, and will reach Dargah Sharif at 12 noon via Baso Gate, Chowra Bazaar, Karna Gate, and Sachdeva Sweets.
This information was provided by Baba Ramkaran Ji Maharaj, Ravi Kashyap, Vevy Chand Gupta, Taranjit Singh, Rakesh, and Lalit Sharma. Guru Maharaj Shri Ramkaran Ji and the throne holder Shri Ravi Sai Ji will walk in the procession, carrying the Bar-e-Mubarak, along with hundreds of devotees. Servants on horses will carry fans in Baba Ji's honor. The image of Baba Ji on a live buggy and the city's famous bands will add to the grandeur of the procession.
The tradition of this approximately 800-year-old Dargah is also linked to the efforts to eradicate the evils prevalent in the society. Tableaus of Operation Sindoor, Sarvadharma Ekta and Ramlala will be special attractions in the procession. Chadar Mubarak will be presented at the Dargah at 12 noon. After this, a Bhandara will be held at Ranbir Singh Hooda Park (Mughal Canal). At 7 pm, Mumbai's renowned Sufi singers Raees Anish Sabri and Farooq Shahrukh Kalandri will present their Qawwalis at the Dargah Sharif.
