Garhshankar-Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar under the guidance of Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira, the History Department of the college celebrated Punjabi Suba Foundation Day under the leadership of Head of the Department Prof. Lakhwinderjit Kaur.
On this occasion, Dr. Harwinder Kaur, mentioning the history of the establishment of Punjabi Suba, described the struggle of the Akali leadership of the time and shared her views on the current situation of Punjab. Prof. Lakhwinderjit Kaur congratulated the students on the establishment day of Punjabi Suba and made them aware of the problems faced by the state.
On this occasion, a documentary related to the Punjabi Suba Reorganization Act was shown to the students. Dr. Kuldeep Kaur, Prof. Jatinder Kaur, Prof. Ritu Singh, Dr. Preetinder Singh, Prof. Navdeep Singh, Dr. Kanwaljit Kaur, Prof. Priyanka Kanwar were present on this occasion.
