Punjabi Language Act should be implemented Pardesi

Nawanshahr:- The state government is making efforts to implement Punjabi language not only in the department but also in private institutions, but despite this, there are many government departments which are averse to providing public information in Punjabi language apart from correspondence. Departments which carry out Punjabi language information and work are violating the Punjab State Language Act 1967 and Amendment 2008 with this practice.
While giving this information, Vasdev Pardesi, President of Human Rights Awareness Manch Society Nawanshahr, said that along with this, the Honorable Supreme Court has defined the fundamental right under Article 21 and given the fundamental right to provide any information in their regional language to the citizens.
Despite all this, many departments of the Punjab government are not providing information in Punjabi language.
He said that the Construction Labour Welfare Board has uploaded information for daily wage workers in English language on its portal. They have demanded that information in Punjabi be uploaded on the portal for the information of construction workers.
