Punjab School Education Board annual examinations begin peacefully smooth arrangements at 2312 centres

SAS Nagar, February 17:- The Punjab School Education Board began its annual examinations today in a peaceful and smooth manner. The Class VIII English and Class XII Home Science examinations were successfully completed without any hitches across Punjab.
According to board officials, 2,77,344 students appeared for the Class VIII English subject and 3,982 for the Class XII Home Science subject. A total of 2,312 examination centres were set up across the state for the smooth conduct of these examinations.
Special arrangements were made to make the examinations fair and transparent. Invigilators were posted at each centre and the entire process was monitored by tracking the safe movement of the examination material through the MATQ app. Disciplinary instructions were strictly followed at all the centres. 
The board, in collaboration with the district administration and education department, continuously monitored the examination arrangements and Section 144 was also imposed within a radius of 100 meters of the examination centers.
Board officials said that the upcoming examinations will also be conducted in a similar smooth and transparent manner so that a fair and credible examination environment can be provided to the students.
