Punjab Government Doing Excellent Work to Promote Sports Bram Shankar Jimpa
Hoshiarpur:- MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa inaugurated a newly constructed sports ground in the village of Nangal Shahidan. On this occasion, while congratulating the residents of the area, he stated that the Punjab government is continuously taking concrete steps to promote sports.
MLA Jimpa mentioned that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is developing 3,100 sports grounds across the entire state in the first phase. He informed that approximately 30 sports grounds are being constructed in every assembly constituency, tailored to local requirements, so that the youth can access sports facilities close to their own villages and stay away from vices such as drug abuse.
He added that this sports ground would prove to be immensely beneficial not only for the youth but also for the women and elderly residents of the village. It will provide a safe and convenient environment for morning and evening walks, thereby leading to an improvement in the people's health.
The MLA remarked that such initiatives would strengthen the sports culture in the villages, and in the times to come, talented players emerging from these areas would bring glory to both the state and the nation.
The MLA further stated that the Punjab government has taken care of every section of society. Just today, villagers returned from a pilgrimage to Amritsar—visiting Sri Harmandir Sahib, Sri Durgiana Temple, and other holy sites—under the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme.
