Public representatives should utilize their legal powers wisely Dr Chauhan

Nilokheri/Karnal, November 27: Dr. Virendra Singh Chauhan, Director of the Haryana Institute of Rural Development, urged members and officials of Panchayat Samitis to recognize their legal powers and utilize them effectively for rural development. Panchayat Samitis are crucial in the rural development process, and their members need a thorough understanding of the schemes, policies, and procedures.
Dr. Virendra Singh Chauhan was addressing participants via video conferencing at the concluding session of a two-day training program being held at the Rajiv Gandhi State Institute of Panchayati Raj and Community Development.
Dr. Chauhan stated that transparency, participation, and accountability strengthen the Panchayat system. The objective of the training is to develop leadership skills among Panchayat representatives so that they can effectively implement development plans in their respective areas.
Encouraging participants, he said that if Panchayat Samiti members are aware and trained, development work will be completed with speed and quality. On this occasion, the participating Panchayat Samiti members apprised the Director of Haryana Rural Development about the problems they face in their daily work.
The program was presided over by Professor Virendra Grewal, Rajiv Gandhi State Institute of Panchayati Raj and Community Development. Professor Grewal expressed his thanks and gratitude to Dr. Virendra Singh Chauhan and said that his experience and guidance has been very useful for the participants.
On this occasion, Master Resource Person Narayan Dutt, Sanjeev Kumar, Mona Kumari, Vice Chairman Panchayat Samiti Bhuna, Gautam Kumar Panchayat Samiti Member Thanesar, Gurjant Singh Matloda, Sunita Devi Uchana, Labh Singh Sivan, Praveen Kumar Uchana, Sumer Singh Pundhri and other Panchayat Samiti members were present.
