Garhshankar, January 8:- After holding a protest rally in the local Gandhi Park by the democratic and public organizations of Garhshankar against the kidnapping and detention of the Venezuelan head of state and his wife by the US Donald Trump government in his country and a furious march in the city, an effigy of the arrogant Donald Trump was burnt in the Baba Gurdit Singh Park square.
At this time, leaders of Kirti Kisan Union, Jamhoori Kisan Sabha, Punjab Kisan Union, Democratic Teachers Front, Democratic Pensioner Front, Tarksheel Society Punjab, Government Teacher Union, Doaba Sahit Sabha, Pensioner Welfare Association and Rural Workers Union Harmesh Dhesi, Ramji Das Chauhan, Mukesh Kumar, Sher Jung Bahadur, Balbir Khanpuri, Principal Dr. Bikkar Singh, Sham Sunder Sukhdev Dansiwal, Dr. Joginder Kullewal said that the kidnapping of the President of Venezuela and his wife by the US government of Donald Trump has violated the human rights laws of the world. The protesters raised slogans of American imperialism, get out of Venezuela, release President Maduro and his wife, down with imperialism. The leaders of public organizations Hansraj Garhshankar, Kulwant Golewal, Kulwinder Chahal, Gopal Das, Balwant Ram, Shingara Ram Bhajjal said that by trampling on the human rights and freedoms of the world under the UNO Charter, America has kidnapped and detained the President of Venezuela, the only way to seize the vast oil reserves and precious metals like gold.
The leaders said that the Indian government is implementing anti-worker, anti-farmer and anti-employee policies in the country by following the directions of Trump and corporates and is agreeing with Trump. The leaders said that India should take a firm stand against this attack by America.
