Nawanshahr- On the call of PS, PCL Electricity Employees' Struggle Front Punjab, a protest rally was held at the gate of Circle Nawanshahr. Various organizations involved in the Workers' Struggle Front Punjab, mainly Technical Services Union, Head Office Joint Action Committee, Grid Employees' Struggle Union, JE Council, Engineers' Association, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Employees' Welfare Federation, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Mazdoor Sangh, PSEB Accounts Audit and Administration Service Association, Grid Sub-Station Technical and Clerical Employees' Union Punjab, Powercom and Trasco PTS Employees' Union participated.
In this, the spokespersons said that the valuable properties of the Electricity Board are being sold by the Punjab government in Ludhiana, Mohali, Jalandhar, Phagwara, Patiala and other big cities. In Ludhiana alone, the Punjab government is going to sell about 100 acres of properties which are in different places to its favorites or big corporate houses. This decision is being strongly opposed by all the organizations of Punjab.
The Punjab government made a policy of selling the village plots and then made a land pooling policy, which was opposed by the people/organizations of Punjab. Due to which the government was forced to withdraw these policies. The people of Punjab donated the lands for the offices, hospitals and other public facilities of Punjab, which are being sold by the government.
The people of Punjab will also roll back this policy. Addressing this dharna, the spokespersons TSU Circle President Sanjeev Kumar, Kuldeep Singh Assistant Secretary, Atinder Kumar, Amrik Singh Cashier, JE Council President Gurbaksh Ram, Avtar Singh, Gurpreet Singh JE, Parvesh Kumar Taneja AE, Grid Sub Station Sandeep Kumar, Circle President Kulwinder Atwal, Finance Secretary Vijay Kumar Bali, Divisional Secretary Madan Lal Ramrai Pur, President Narinder Kumar Mehta, TSU President Narinder Pal Uttari Zone, Secretary Harjinder Singh, Divisional President Harbhajan Singh, Secretary Ishan Makkar, Sardara Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Parvinder Singh Jadla and other spokespersons strongly opposed the wrong policies of the government.
