Patiala:- On the call of PRTC Pensioners Association Central Body, on 11-01-2026, four pensioners Sarv Sri Lalkar Singh, Suraj Bhan, Sukhdev Singh, Rameshwar Das started a hunger strike at the old bus stand at Patiala depot. The hunger strike was ended today on 12-01-2026 and they reached the DC office in a convoy to submit a demand letter to DC Patiala and submitted the demand letter. The DC received it in the name of Patiala from Tehsildar Patiala.
Before leaving to submit the demand letter, a rally was held, which was addressed by Sarv Sri Joginder Singh President, Shiv Kumar Sharma Secretary General, Suraj Bhan General Secretary, and Jarnail Singh and slogans were raised against the government and management. The main demands of the pensioners are that pension and salary should be paid on time. Pay Commission arrears and pending medical bills should be paid. To make this meeting successful, Sarv Shri Bakshish Singh Office Secretary, Nirpal Singh, Ram Chand, Shadi Singh, Jagtar Singh, Joginder Singh etc. and provided full support.
After that, another rally was held and the rally ended with slogans against the government and management. President Joginder Singh thanked everyone for their cooperation and unity.
