PRTC Pensioners held annual felicitation ceremony Senior citizens were honored
Patiala, March 16:- Today, PRTC pensioners held an annual felicitation ceremony under the leadership of PRTC Pensioners Association Central Body Chairman Mukand Singh and State President Bhagwant Singh Kanganwal and celebrated Pension Day with great enthusiasm. In which 5-5 pensioners of each depot who had crossed 75 years were honored with mementos and syrups.
Addressing this huge gathering, Chairman Mukand Singh in his welcome speech addressed the pensioners gathered in large numbers from different depots and appreciated them for their contribution to the activities of the association, expressed regret over the departed pensioners and wished a long and happy life to the living pensioners. Addressing this huge gathering, State President Bhagwant Singh Kanganwal mentioned the struggles and achievements made during the past year and asked the management to pay the remaining dues and pension on time.
He warned the management that our dues should be paid without delay so that we are not forced to take any drastic steps. Secretary General Hari Singh Chamak, while explaining about the meeting held with the Chairman PRTC the other day, said that the Chairman has assured that every pension will be paid on time and the remaining dues such as the dues of 2016 grade medical bills and the dues of new retirees will be paid soon, but as per the promise of the Chairman, let alone the dues, even the pension has not been paid yet.
Expressing regret, Hari Singh Chamak said that the institution PRTC seems to be neglected today. There is no permanent MD. Due to which no one is worried about our payments. Welcoming the decision of the Hon'ble High Court, he said that as per the decision of the Hon'ble High Court, our payments along with interest should be made soon so that we do not have to get a contract and do not have to take steps for struggle. He said that the government should fulfill the free travel facility being used by women so that our dues can be fulfilled. He expressed regret that the Punjab government has not kept the required money in the budget for PRTC which is very condemnable. Sarv Sri Bakshish Singh Office Secretary, Amolak Singh Cashier, Mahinder Singh Sohi, Bachan Singh Arora, made important contributions to make this program a success. Bachan Singh Arora performed the stage duty well.
