Protest Against Rising Fuel Prices Some People Protest Wearing Prime Ministers Masks

Ambala, 26 May:- Against the daily increase in petrol and diesel prices, a group of people, under the leadership of local social activist Parul Nagpal, gathered this evening at a petrol pump in Prem Nagar, Ambala City. They staged a protest wearing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's masks and mockingly distributed Melody toffees to commuters passing by on the road. A protester remarked that former minister Aseem Goel ji riding a bicycle for two days would not solve the problem. He emphasized that the rising fuel prices amid back-breaking inflation must be curbed; otherwise, the public will teach them a lesson. He added that the government had handed a lollipop to the public to win the elections, and as soon as the elections concluded, the government started increasing fuel prices on a daily basis.
Parul Nagpal stated that the government will increase fuel prices even further. 12 years ago, the BJP used to claim that upon forming the government, petrol prices would be brought down from 70 rupees to 35 rupees, but today petrol has reached 103 rupees per liter. Despite such a high price, the government remains silent while Melody toffees are being distributed abroad. There is no concern for the citizens of the country. With the rise in fuel prices, fares are increasing, the price of plastic is rising, and the price of drinking water bottles is going up; if the government does not control this, a massive problem will arise in the coming days. Parul Nagpal added that the problem will not be solved by just avoiding traveling in vehicles; the government will have to listen to the general public, whereas the government has virtually raised its hands in resignation.
