Prostitution racket busted in Una 3 women rescued 3 accused arrested
Una, April 9 (Rajveer Chopra): In a major action, the police has busted a prostitution racket in Una district headquarters of Himachal Pradesh. A joint police team raided a private guest house and rescued three women, while three accused have been arrested.
The police had been receiving secret information regarding this illegal activity for a long time. On this basis, a raid was conducted in a private guest house in the city today.
During the raid, three women were safely rescued from the spot, while three youths were detained and arrested. Police have also recovered objectionable material from the spot.
SP Una, Sachin Hirameth said that the police was getting advance information about this activity and continuous efforts were being made to catch this gang. He said that in today's action three women have been rescued and three accused have been arrested. Besides, action is also being taken against the owner of the guest house.
The police are now investigating the role of the guest house owner and efforts are being made to find out who else is involved in this racket.
At present, the police have registered the case and started investigation and have said that strict action will be taken against such illegal activities in future also.
