Prohibition on climbing GovernmentPrivate buildings and holding dharnasrallies around them by District Magistrate

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 24 August:- Mrs. Komal Mittal, District Magistrate Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, in order to maintain the law and order situation, exercising the powers vested under Chapter 11 (under Section 163) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (46 of 2023), has issued orders completely prohibiting climbing on all water tanks, tubewells, telephone towers, Government/private buildings falling within the limits of District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar and holding dharnas/rallies, blocking roads etc. around them. These orders will remain in force from 19.08.2026 to 18.10.2026.
It is worth mentioning here that it was brought to the notice of the District Magistrate S.A.S. Nagar by the Senior Superintendent of Police Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar that various employee unions, unemployed etc. unions/federations hold dharna demonstrations regarding their demands by climbing on various water tanks, telephone towers and other Government/private buildings of the district and by blocking roads etc. The concerned protesters also put their own lives at risk and the law and order situation may also be disrupted. These orders have been issued to prevent such actions.
