Progressive Welfare Association paid tribute to Babasaheb Dr Ambedkar on Mahaparinirvana Diwas
Patiala:- On the occasion of the 70th Mahaparinirvana Diwas of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the Progressive Welfare Association, led by President R. S. Shayan, paid tribute to him by garlanding the statue of Babasaheb located at the Mini Secretariat.
During which, leaders like R. S. Shayan, Engineer Sohan Singh and Hari Singh shared their views and said that Dr. Ambedkar did great work to eliminate caste discrimination and provide education, equality and social justice to all for the society. The constitution he created gave equal rights to everyone. Which improved the living standards of the poor.
He envisioned a society where all citizens get social justice on the basis of freedom, equality and brotherhood and all resources are distributed equally. He said that Babasaheb considered education as the biggest weapon of social change, with which people can fight for their rights and give the right direction to the society.
Therefore, we must follow the guidance of Dr. Ambedkar and make our due contribution to the interest of the country and society.
