In this spirit, a tribute and remembrance program was organized on the occasion of her second death anniversary at the Deputy Chief Minister's residence complex in Gondpur Jaichand, paying homage to her.
During the program, a floral tribute was offered to the statue of the late Prof. (Dr.) Simmi Agnihotri, located in the Deputy Chief Minister's residence complex. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, his daughter Dr. Aastha Agnihotri, son-in-law Sachin Sharma, other family members, local citizens, and people from various walks of life were present and paid tribute to the departed soul.
The atmosphere of the program remained devotional through bhajans and kirtans. The most emotional moment of the gathering came when daughter Dr. Aastha Agnihotri addressed her mother, remembering her. Holding back tears, she said that her mother dedicated her entire life to her family and society.
Dr. Aastha said that her mother never wanted anything for herself. She received offers of high positions and opportunities in life, but she chose to stand by her father, becoming his strength. Even today, after marriage, she is missed at every step, but it feels as if she is still around and guiding us.
She said that after her mother's passing, her father has played the role of both mother and father. Dr. Aastha also said that her mother was always concerned about the development of Haroli and social and religious activities, and that today, with her blessings, the entire state stands with her family. Her husband, Sachin Sharma, stood firmly by her side.
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that Prof. (Dr.) Simmi Agnihotri was not only an outstanding educationist but also a sensitive social worker. Her commitment to education, drug prevention, road safety, and social concerns will always remain an inspiration to society.
