Hoshiarpur: The Principal Harbhajan Singh Under-14 Football Tournament, organized by the Principal Harbhajan Singh Sporting Club under the leadership of its president Kulwant Singh Sangha, commenced at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur. Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh, sports promoter Tarsem Bha, Principal Dr. Rohtash, and Principal Shibu Mathew attended the tournament, held at the Principal Harbhajan Singh Memorial Football Stadium, as chief guests.
The guests interacted with the players and encouraged them to play with true sportsmanship. In the inaugural match, Football Academy Majar Dingrian defeated Football Academy Badiyan by a score of 4-0. In other matches, Football Academy Mahilpur defeated Lotus Football Academy by 4-0.
Similarly, Football Academy Langheri defeated Football Academy Bharta Ganeshpur by 2-1, Football Academy Mahilpur defeated Football Academy Majar Dingrian by 2-0, and Sant Baba Hari Singh School defeated Football Academy Langheri by 4-0. The organizers stated that teams from various academies are participating in these Under-14 matches with great enthusiasm, and the final matches for the gold medal will be held tomorrow.
