Principal Dr Tarsem Singh Bhinder was given a grand farewell on his retirement
Banga:- A farewell function was organized at Sikh National College, Banga on the retirement of Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder. The function was jointly organized by the College Local Management Committee, Faculty, Non-teaching staff and students.
The programme was attended by Sikh Educational Society, Chandigarh President S. Gurdev Singh Brar, Advocate S. Karandeep Singh Cheema, Joint Secretary Dr. Jaspal Singh Randhawa, Executive Member S. Jarnail Singh Palli Jhikki, Local Secretary Dr. Jagwant Singh, Dr. Amandeep Singh, Principals representing the Association Dr. Gurdev Singh, S. Satvir Singh Palli Jhikki, S. Gurbir Singh Brar, Executive Director, Sikh Human Development Foundation, S. Kunar Singh, S. Bhangu Sahib, members of the local management committee S. Saroop Singh, S. Tirath Singh, S. Malkiat Singh Bahrowal and S. Harminder Singh Chahal along with members of the college community were present. Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder and his wife Dr. Kamaldeep Kaur were welcomed with garlands.
In her welcome address, the current acting principal Dr. Indu Ratti highlighted the glorious tenure of five years, two months and eight days of Dr. Bhinder, lauding his exemplary leadership and dedicated service to the institution. S. Gurdev Singh Brar appreciated the remarkable development initiatives and institutional progress achieved under the leadership of Dr. Bhinder.
Paying tribute to his outstanding contribution, Dr. Jagwant Singh, Dr. Amandeep Singh, Dr. Jaspal Singh Randhawa, Dr. Gurdev Singh, Prof. Abid, Dr. Kamaldeep Kaur, S. Baljinder Singh and student Palak Dhillon presented Dr. Bhinder spoke about his visionary leadership and his invaluable contribution to academic excellence, cultural activities, sports and the overall development of the college.
On behalf of the staff, he was presented with a commemorative memento and a letter of appreciation as a mark of respect and appreciation. In his address, Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the management, colleagues, students and well-wishers for their love, cooperation and support during his tenure. He conveyed his best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the institution. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr. Nirmaljit Kaur.
