Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal was honored with the Mahamanav Award
Chandigarh:- According to a press note issued by the office of Vishav Punjabi Prachar Sabha Chandigarh located at Sector-41 (Badheri), it was informed that during a grand literary function organized by Vishav Sahitak Sitare Manch Tarn Taran at Shaheed Gadri Baba Sucha Singh Memorial Hall in Chohla Sahib, Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal was honored by the organization with the “Mahamanav Award.” As part of the honor, he was presented with a memento, a shawl, a set of books, and bouquets.
On this occasion, in the presence of prominent literary figures of Punjab, the President of the organization, Sardar Harbhajan Singh Bhagarath, stated that Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal was given this honor for contributing 120 books to literature, for being a renowned educationist, and for promoting and propagating the Punjabi mother tongue on a large scale.
On this occasion, along with him, Senior Vice President of Vishav Punjabi Prachar Sabha Jagtaar Singh Jog, Vice President Bhupinder Bhagomajaria, renowned litterateur Rajinder Singh Dheeman, and President of International Sahitak Sath Chandigarh Rajvinder Singh Gaddu were also present. On this occasion, distinguished singer Jagtaar Singh Jog of Vishav Punjabi Prachar Sabha and Bhupinder Bhagomajaria were also specially honored. Rajvinder Singh Gaddu and Rajinder Singh Dheeman were also part of the presidium along with Principal Gosal.
It is noteworthy that at this literary gathering held at Chohla Sahib, the book “Pind Khara Da Itihas” written by Sardar Sukhwinder Singh Khara was formally released, and famous poets and lyricists of the area added great color to the event with their respective compositions. Meanwhile, Jagtaar Singh Jog, who had arrived from Chandigarh, especially sang two songs written by Principal Gosal — “Dudh Peende Kaadhni Da, Pehla Soore Veer Punjabi – Lagg Pichhe Nashian De Karde Phirde Sehat Kharabi” and “Cheti Ghar Aa Mar Janiya” — and created a vibrant atmosphere with his powerful voice.
Among other poets were Bhupinder Bhagomajaria, Rajinder Dheeman, Balbir Singh Beli, Darshan Kamal, Daljit Singh Boota Gulami Wala, Rakesh Sachdeva, Raghbir Singh Anand, lyricist Makhan Bhaini, Rajwant Singh Bagaria, and others, mainly from Chandigarh.
Principal Gosal thanked Sahitak Manch Tarn Taran for the honor bestowed upon him by a major literary organization of Punjab and appealed to litterateurs to make efforts to prepare new readers and more writers. It turned out to be a grand literary award ceremony, which was led by the President of the organization, Sardar Harbhajan Singh Bhagarath.
