Hoshiarpur- Under the directions of Civil Surgeon Dr. Balbir Kumar, the Prime Minister’s Safe Motherhood Campaign Day (PMSMA) was observed today in District Hoshiarpur. These camps are organized on the 9th and 23rd of every month at all health institutions in the district, such as Primary Health Centers (PHCs), Community Health Centers (CHCs), Sub-Divisional Hospitals, and the District Hospital. 
In case of a holiday, these camps are held the following day. The primary objective of this campaign is to provide free antenatal care (ANC) services, necessary tests, and treatment to pregnant women to ensure the health of both the mother and the child. 
District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Ranjit Singh informed that comprehensive check-ups of pregnant women were conducted today at all health institutions in the district by teams comprising gynecologists, medical specialist doctors, and paramedical staff. 
He stated that under this campaign, at least one antenatal check-up (ANC) is ensured for all pregnant women in their second and third trimesters.
