Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds video conference with Chief Ministers

New Delhi:- Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a virtual meeting with the Chief Ministers today in view of the situation arising due to the war in the Middle East. He reviewed the preparations and plans to deal with the crisis of various commodities arising in the states. Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann also attended this meeting along with the Chief Ministers of other states.
The meeting reviewed the current availability of essential commodities, mainly crude oil, natural gas and fertilizers and discussed steps to be taken to overcome any shortage. Mr. Modi said that India has adequate supply of oil and there is no situation of stock depletion anywhere.
He appealed to the Chief Ministers of the states to check hoarding (black marketing) and take strict action against those spreading misinformation. The Prime Minister had earlier said in his address in Parliament while talking about Covid-19 that the states and the Centre will have to work as 'Team India' to overcome the current crisis.
