Preparations for Census 2027 Intensify ThreeDay Training Program Begins

Karnal, April 6: Preparations for Census 2027 have been accelerated across the state of Haryana. In line with this initiative, the District Census Department launched a three-day training program for enumerators and supervisors on Monday. This training program was organized across all tehsils and municipalities within the district. A total of 1,035 enumerators and supervisors participated in the training program, distributed across 23 batches.
During the training program, field trainers are providing comprehensive instruction in strict adherence to the prescribed standards for Census 2027. The curriculum covers topics such as house listing, household details, digital data collection, the usage of the dedicated mobile application, and strategies for addressing practical challenges encountered in the field.
It is noteworthy that under the first phase of Census 2027, the task of house listing and the enumeration of houses will be conducted over a 30-day period, spanning from May 1, 2026, to May 30, 2026. Prior to this, from April 16, 2026, to April 30, 2026, citizens will also be provided with the facility for online self-enumeration via the 'Census Portal,' enabling individuals to personally enter their family's details. Subsequently, in the second phase, the actual population enumeration exercise will be carried out during February 2027.
