Nawanshahr: Preparations have started for the annual Jod Mela of the Jatheras of the Lambra and nearby village Chitti. The fair will be held on March 18 (Wednesday) at the sacred site of the Chheeh Got Jatheras. The event will be organized with devotion under the supervision of Chairman Raj Kumar and President Vinod Kumar Verma, with the support of the entire community and the managing committee.
Hari Om Verma from Nawanshahr and President Vinod Verma informed that the religious program will begin in the morning with a Havan Yagya, followed by the ceremonial hoisting of the religious flag. After that, Kanjak Pujan will be performed, and a grand community langar (Bhandara) will be organized for all devotees.
They further stated that preparations for the annual fair are in full swing. Comprehensive arrangements are being made to ensure all necessary facilities for devotees arriving from across the country and abroad, so that no one faces any inconvenience.
The organizers appealed to all members of the Chheeh Got community to participate in large numbers, contribute to the seva (voluntary service), and seek blessings. On this occasion, Hari Om Verma from Nawanshahr mentioned that a large number of devotees from Nawanshahr will attend the Jatheras fair.
