Pregnant women made aware in government hospitals

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 24 August:- In government health institutions of district today under Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan pregnant women were given information about safe motherhood and special check-up was done.
Giving information in this regard District Family Welfare Officer Dr Tamanna Singal said that in all CHC and PHC and Sub Divisional Hospitals and District Hospital of district various activities regarding health check-up and awareness of pregnant women were conducted. During this special attention was given to regular health check-up of pregnant women, required tests, health advice and identification of high-risk pregnant women.
Giving more information Dr Tamanna said that Health Department inspired pregnant women to get regular health check-up during pregnancy, take balanced and nutritious diet and follow instructions given by health experts. She said that timely check-up of pregnancy and identification of high-risk pregnancy is very important for health of mother and child.
