Haroli/Una, March 5 (Rajveer Chopra):- Taking action against drug smugglers, Una district police raided the Laluwal area of ??Haroli and arrested a youth with Chitta, Bhukki, and drug money.
According to information, acting on a tip-off from District Superintendent of Police Sachin, a team from Haroli police station, led by Inspector Sunil Kumar Sankhyan, raided a shop named SK Arts in Laluwal. During the raid, police successfully apprehended a youth from Punjab with 1.23 grams of Chitta, 6.34 grams of Bhukki, and ?1,080 in drug money.
Police have also conducted medical examinations of five other youths present at the scene and are questioning them. Preliminary investigations have identified the accused as Sunil Kumar (26), son of Haridev, resident of village Jandiala, post office Mahilpur, tehsil Garhshankar, district Hoshiarpur (Punjab). It is reported that the accused had opened a fine art shop in Laluwal, Una, and was operating the drug trade under its guise.
Superintendent of Police Sachin stated that the young generation is risking their future by falling into the trap of drug dealers. He appealed to parents to come forward and help eradicate this social evil.
Police are now investigating where the accused was bringing the consignments of drugs and who his network is connected to in Una. Station House Officer Sunil Kumar stated that a case has been registered against the accused and further action is underway.
He stated that the district police is continuously taking action against drug traffickers with vigilance and diligence, and such individuals are being sent behind bars.
