Police Crackdown on Cybercrimes in Fatehabad Action Plan Finalized in Review Meeting
Fatehabad, January 19:- the Police Lines, under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Mr. Siddhant Jain, IPS, to ensure effective control over the increasing number of cybercrimes in the district. All station house officers, unit in-charges, the cyber cell team, and technical officers were present at the meeting.
During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on the changing methods of cybercrime, the current status of registered cases, and the process for their swift resolution. The Superintendent of Police directed that every complaint related to cybercrime be acted upon quickly, sensitively, and with technical expertise, so that victims can receive timely relief.
*SP Siddhant Jain* said that cybercrimes have now become more challenging than traditional crimes, as criminals are constantly misusing new technologies. In such a situation, the police also need to strengthen their working methods through modern technologies, digital forensics, data analysis, and innovative cyber tools. He clarified that any kind of delay or negligence in cyber cases will not be tolerated.
It was also decided in the meeting that cyber awareness campaigns would be made more effective and widespread throughout the district. People will be made aware of online fraud, fake calls, link fraud, and the risks associated with digital transactions by visiting schools, colleges, villages, and urban areas, so that the general public can remain vigilant.
All station house officers were instructed to take immediate cognizance of cyber complaints received at the police stations and ensure prompt investigation in coordination with the cyber cell. Special attention should also be given to the speedy resolution of cases by maintaining better coordination with banking institutions, telecom companies, and related agencies.
The meeting was attended by Cyber Police Station In-charge Inspector Rahul Kumar, Spokesperson Assistant Sub-Inspector Sandeep Kumar, Cyber Cell In-charge Sub-Inspector Nathu Ram, along with the in-charges of the district's cyber help desks and other police officers.
At the conclusion, the Superintendent of Police said that effective measures would be taken against cybercrimes. Public awareness and police vigilance are the biggest weapons in curbing this problem. The police are fully committed to reaching criminals through modern technologies, and concrete steps are continuously being taken in this direction.
