PM SHRI and Model Sanskriti Schools Honoured by Chief Minister
Chandigarh, August 15:- In line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and the spirit of the National Education Policy-2020, Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini honoured the three best-performing PM SHRI schools of Haryana during the Independence Day celebrations, with the objective of promoting quality education in the state.
PM SHRI GSSS Gangwa, Hisar, secured the first position, PM SHRI GSSS Chakarpur, Gurugram, secured the second position, while PM SHRI GSSS Palhawas, Rewari, was awarded the third position among the best PM SHRI schools.
On the occasion, three best-performing Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary Schools were also honoured. GMSSSS Shahzadpur, Ambala, secured the first position, GMSSSS Babain, Kurukshetra, secured the second position, while GMSSSS Hansi secured the third position among the best Model Sanskriti Schools.
The Chief Minister said that the objective of the PM SHRI (PM Schools for Rising India) scheme is to strengthen existing government schools and develop them as schools of excellence so that students can receive quality education along with skills, creative thinking and better learning opportunities.
He said that at present, 251 PM SHRI schools and 218 Senior Secondary Model Sanskriti Schools in Haryana are playing an important role in providing quality education to students and preparing them to face future challenges. The District Education Officers and Block Education Officers of the concerned districts were also honoured.
The Chief Minister said that the best schools were selected through a merit-based process based on prescribed parameters. The schools were evaluated on parameters such as infrastructure, teaching methodology, learning outcomes, student performance, teacher capacity, co-curricular activities and school management. The final assessment was conducted using objective indicators prescribed for these parameters.
Congratulating the principals, teachers and students of the honoured schools, the Chief Minister said that the achievements of these schools would serve as an inspiration for other schools across the state. He said that the government’s aim was to make every school in Haryana better and ensure that every child progresses according to their talent and potential.
He expressed confidence that PM SHRI and Model Sanskriti Schools would make a significant contribution towards realising the vision of ‘Viksit Haryana–Viksit Bharat’.
