Kurukshetra- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi performed the evening Maha Aarti amidst chanting of Vedic mantras on the holy banks of Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra. He prayed for the progress and prosperity of all the citizens. This visit of the Prime Minister was an important and historic moment for Kurukshetra.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Naib Saini welcomed him and presented a memento. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said that Lord Krishna gave the sacred message of the Gita to the world from the holy land of Kurukshetra. He said that the eternal message of the Gita is relevant even today at the global level, which gives Kurukshetra a unique spiritual identity.
Greeting the people on the occasion of International Gita Mahotsav, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that the world received the divine wisdom of the Gita from the holy place of Jyotisar in Kurukshetra. He said that the profound wisdom of the Gita offers solutions to every human challenge. Reciting its verses not only brings peace to the mind but also elevates the spiritual understanding of the person.
