Players gave message of environmental protection by planting Triveni in Ratia school ground

Ratia 2 September::- Took pledge to fulfill social responsibility along with sports, emphasized regular care of plants. With the objective of creating awareness among people towards environmental protection and nature, today Triveni plantation was done by players in Ratia school ground. Players planted saplings with full enthusiasm and gave message of fulfilling their responsibility towards environmental protection. During this, players said that for healthy environment, planting more and more plants and regular care of planted plants is important need of time.
On this occasion, Sharma Chand Lali, District Advisor, Public Health Engineering Department, Fatehabad said that in today's era, saving environment has become more necessary than ever. Increasing pollution, decreasing green areas and increasing pressure on natural resources is a matter of concern for all of us. In such a situation, every person should understand his responsibility towards nature and contribute his share in environmental protection.
He said that saving nature is not responsibility of only one person, institution or department, but it is collective responsibility of all of us. If every person of society gives priority to environmental protection in his life and takes pledge to plant at least one sapling and take regular care of it, then clean and green environment can be prepared for coming generations.
Sharma Chand Lali said that plantation should not be limited to only a programme. After planting sapling, its continuous care, giving water on time, keeping it safe and keeping eye on its growth is equally important. Praising this initiative of players, he said that youth can play important role in bringing positive change in society.
He said that playgrounds are not only place to hone sports talents, but from here youth can also be connected with social concerns. Participation of players in activities like environmental protection is also inspirational for other youth. This gives message in society that along with sports, players are also aware towards social and environmental responsibilities.
During this, coaches and players said that trees-plants are extremely important for our life. Trees play important role in maintaining balance of environment along with giving us clean air. Therefore every person should come forward to plant saplings at his house, school, playground, public places and available places around.
Players said that in coming time also, to make people aware regarding environmental protection, such activities will be participated enthusiastically. They also appealed to other players, youth and general public to become part of plantation campaign and consider regular care of planted saplings as their responsibility.
