Hoshiarpur:- Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh, while congratulating all the candidates elected in the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections, said that the trust of the people is the strongest foundation of development. He said that this result indicates a new beginning for development in the state and it is the collective responsibility of all the elected members to live up to the expectations with which the people have elected their representatives. Darvjot Singh warmly welcomed all the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti candidates who reached his office today.
On this occasion, he also praised the party workers and supporters who worked day and night during the election process and called them real partners in this success. The Cabinet Minister said that the loyalty, discipline and direct contact with the public of the workers are the real strength of this victory. The Local Government Minister expressed confidence that all the elected representatives will work with complete honesty, transparency and dedication for the development of their respective areas.
He said that priority will be given to strengthening sanitation, infrastructure, drinking water, roads, street lights and improving civic amenities to bring about a real change in the living standards of the common people. Dr. Ravjot Singh called upon all the elected members to rise above politics and make public service their goal.
He asked them to take the welfare policies of the government to the grassroots level. Finally, wishing them all a bright future, he said that the trust of the public is the greatest honor and it is our duty to maintain it.
