Pensioners Association strongly condemns the atrocities on PRTCPunbus workers

Patiala:- Condemning the atrocities committed by the police on PRTC and Punbus workers. The central body of PRTC Pensioners Association strongly condemns the lathi charge and brutal atrocities committed by the police on PRTC and Punbus workers.
PRTC Pensioners Association Central Body Chairman Mukand Singh, State President Bhagwant Singh Kanganwal, General Secretary Bachan Singh Arora, Secretary General Hari Singh Chamk and Cashier Amolak Singh said in a joint statement that the PRTC Pensioners Association strongly condemns the atrocities committed by the police on the orders of the management on the workers of Punbus and PRTC who were demanding their rights.
He said that the management had promised not to open the tender for the kilometer scheme, but the management went against the promise and prepared to open the tender. The workers who were peacefully protesting were brutally attacked by the police.
The above speakers, while supporting the demands of the workers struggling for their rights, said that the kilometer scheme, which always gives rise to privatization, should be stopped in the transport institutions, PRTC and Punjab Roadways and only government buses should be provided and the workers who have been working on contract basis for a long time should be regularized, and the action taken against the workers struggling for their rights should not be implemented.
