Chandigarh: 11th February, 2026:- Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, is all set to host its much-awaited Global Annual Alumni Meet 2026 on 14th February 2026, beginning 9:00 AM onwards at the PEC Auditorium.
Organised under the aegis of PECOSA (Punjab Engineering College Old Students Association), the mega alumni reunion promises to be a grand celebration of legacy, nostalgia, and lifelong bonds. Around 1,000 alumni, spanning batches from 1955 to 2022, are expected to participate, travelling from across India, Nepal, USA, UK, Gulf countries, Canada, and Australia.
The event is being hosted by the Executive Committee of PECOSA under the guidance of Er. Manish Gupta, President PECOSA and former Chairman, CII Chandigarh, along with Er. H.S. Oberoi, General Secretary, PECOSA. The successful organisation of this landmark gathering is being made possible through generous contributions and active support from PEC’s vibrant alumni community across the globe.
The highlight of the meet will be the presence of Er. Jitin Talwar (Batch of 2001), a renowned Legal Tech Entrepreneur, who will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest and share insights from his professional journey. The event will be presided over by Prof. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, Honourable Director, PEC, while Prof. Rajesh Kanda will attend as the Guest of Honour.
As part of the celebrations, special felicitation ceremonies will be organised to honour alumni celebrating their Platinum, Golden, and Silver Jubilees, including batches of 1956, 1961, 1966, and 1971, along with alumni from the batches of 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016, and 2021.
The day-long event will feature interactive alumni sessions, cultural performances, and engaging campus activities such as kite flying, tambola, and musical chairs, followed by a networking session and a musical evening with gala dinner, offering alumni an opportunity to reconnect and relive cherished memories.
The Global Annual Alumni Meet serves as a significant platform to inspire collaboration, strengthen alumni-institution ties, and contribute to the continued growth of PEC. Through PECOSA, alumni actively support the institution in the form of mentorship, scholarships, donations, and professional expertise, aiding PEC’s pursuit of academic excellence and research innovation.
