Peace talks with Afghanistans Taliban government remain stalled Pakistan

ANKARA - Pakistan's information minister said on Wednesday that peace talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan continued for four days in Istanbul but did not yield any results.
Pakistan's information minister Ataullah Tarar accused the Taliban government of refusing to take action against militants responsible for cross-border attacks.
The talks followed the first round of talks in Doha, which led to a ceasefire between the two sides on October 19.
Pakistan accuses the Taliban of harboring militants who carry out the attacks, while Afghanistan denies that its soil is being used against Pakistan. Pakistan's information minister said on social media platform 'X' (X) that despite mediation by Qatar and Turkey, no practical solution was reached in the talks.
Afghanistan has not yet responded to Tarar's statement. Earlier, state media in Pakistan and Afghanistan had said that there was a stalemate in the talks and both sides had blamed each other for failing to reach an agreement.
