ParentTeacher Meet Mahajashan in SAS Nagar district received a huge response

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, May 30:- In continuation of the Parent-Teacher Meet organized under the theme ‘Mahajashan’ across the state, District Education Officer (Secondary) Dr. Ginni Duggal visited School of Eminence Banur, Government Senior Secondary School Motemajra and Gigemajra and interacted with parents, students and school staff.
Parent-Teacher Meet was organized in all 210 Upper Primary, High and Senior Secondary Government Schools of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district, in which about 75 percent participation of parents was recorded.
During his visits to the schools, Dr. Duggal appreciated the active role of parents in the education of children and stressed on the importance of continuous collaboration between schools and families for the all-round development of students.
On this occasion, teachers and non-teaching staff, including mid-day meal workers, campus managers, sanitation workers, gardeners, peons and other support staff, were felicitated for their contribution in creating a positive and conducive learning environment in government schools.
Students who successfully passed the Punjab School Education Board examinations of classes VIII, X and XII were also felicitated. Students who secured 100 percent marks in their respective subjects were specially felicitated. Apart from this, alumni of the schools who have achieved high positions in various fields after getting education from government schools were also felicitated as a source of inspiration for the current students.
Students who successfully completed various levels of the English Edge program and students who opted for internships under the Skill Education program were also felicitated for their achievements and commitment towards skill development.
During the interaction with the parents, detailed information about the studies and overall progress of the students was shared. Also, advice was given to parents to encourage good learning habits, life skills, interest in reading and personality development activities in children during the summer vacations. Dr. Ginni Duggal said that the Parent-Teacher Meet is an important platform to strengthen the partnership between schools and parents, which can ensure better educational outcomes and overall development of students. She appreciated the efforts of school heads, teachers, staff members and parents for making this event a success.
