Panjab University extends admission without late fee till August 15

Mahilpur, July 31:- The decision of Panjab University Chandigarh to extend the last date of admission without late fee for the session 2026-27 in colleges affiliated to it till August 15 has been welcomed by Dr. Parvinder Singh, Principal of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur.
He said that for the students who have not been able to take admission in any course after the Class XII examination, it is a very commendable step for the university to extend the date of admission without late fee.
Dr. Parvinder Singh said that admissions in various traditional, established and new employment-oriented courses running in Khalsa College Mahilpur are continuing smoothly and the classes of the new session have also started. He appealed to the students to contact the Special Admission and Counseling Cell running in the college to ensure their admission.
He said that under the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme in the college, only university fees are being charged from eligible SC and ST category students. Apart from this, various scholarship schemes are also being successfully run in the institution, which are benefiting the meritorious and economically needy students.
He informed that new skill-centric and employment-oriented courses have also been started in the college, by taking admission in which students can connect with better employment opportunities during their studies. He appealed to the students to get information about various courses from expert teachers and reserve their seats on time.
Dr. Parvinder Singh also advised the students who wish to go abroad to first complete at least graduation regularly, as this helps in getting better career and employment opportunities abroad.
He finally appealed to the students to attend classes regularly and those who have not yet taken admission, to immediately ensure their admission in the college.
