Paddy Scam Investigation Farmers to Protest by Wearing Black Clothes Ratanman

Karnal, November 10: Ratanman, State President of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, stated that farmers are deeply angered by the administration and government's decision to turn the massive scam in the paddy procurement process, which has been uncovered by hard work and effort, into a black investigation instead of conducting an impartial investigation. In protest, the Bharatiya Kisan Union has decided to hold a vigorous protest on Thursday, November 13.
A BKU meeting was held at Sir Chhotu Ram Kisan Bhawan, chaired by State President Ratanman. Addressing the farmers, Ratanman stated that on Thursday, farmers will express their displeasure by wearing black clothes and wearing black badges. Farmers will unite at 10 a.m. from the Jat Dharamshala and march on foot to the District Secretariat, where a memorandum will be submitted to the District Administration in the name of the Chief Minister regarding this black investigation.
The state president stated that this protest is not only against the investigation process, but also against the officials, politicians, and middlemen who plundered the farmers' hard-earned crops and then tried to conceal it. He stated that if the government does not immediately conduct a fair and transparent investigation into this scam and punish the culprits, the Bharatiya Kisan Union will not hesitate to launch a statewide movement.
BKU State President Ratanman stated that the irregularities and corruption revealed in the paddy procurement process prove that the government and administration have failed to protect the interests of farmers. Farmers will not remain silent when bureaucracy and brokerage play a role in the farmers' hard-earned money.
He further stated that the Bharatiya Kisan Union had repeatedly warned the government about irregularities in the markets and procurement centers, but the government showed no seriousness at any level. Now that the scam has come to light, an attempt is being made to suppress the entire matter by turning the investigation into a black-out investigation.
He said that farmers will no longer remain silent. This struggle will continue until justice is achieved. The Bharatiya Kisan Union has appealed to all farmers to join this movement and strengthen the farmers' solidarity and demand for justice. Ratanman said that the government should not mistake this silence of the farmers for weakness. If farmers take to the streets, this could become a major movement not only in the state but across the country. Senior farmer leader Premchand Shahpur, North Haryana in-charge Mehtab Kadian, State Organization Secretary Shyam Singh Mann, spokesperson Surendra Sangwan, legal advisor Balbir Singh Tewatia, Jasbir Jainpur, and others were present on this occasion.
