SAS Nagar, December 31:- Overloaded auto-rickshaws roaming everywhere in the city are inviting accidents. Despite this, no action is being taken against them by the traffic police, due to which questions are being raised on the performance of the traffic police.
It is commonly seen in every area of the city that a large number of auto-rickshaws are loaded with goods like mini trucks. This goods is even hanging outside the body of the auto-rickshaws, which causes disruption in traffic and creates a risk of accidents.
In addition, auto-rickshaws are loaded with goods up to a considerable height like trucks, due to which an accident can happen at any time. The surprising thing is that even in auto-rickshaws meant for carrying passengers, heavy goods are transported in large quantities.
In the inner lanes as well, overloaded rickshaws with goods and passengers are often seen roaming. In this regard, social worker leader Karan Johar has demanded that strict action be taken against overloaded auto-rickshaws so that no accident occurs.
