Dhuri, February 23:- OSD to CM Sukhveer Singh today held a public grievance redressal meeting at the CM facilitation Centre in Dhuri and listened to the concerns of residents from across the constituency. People from various villages and urban wards apprised him of matters pertaining to ongoing development works, civic infrastructure, roads, water supply, electricity services and other basic amenities.
Taking serious note of the issues raised, the OSD directed officials of the concerned departments to ensure time-bound and effective redressal of all complaints. He emphasized that every representation must be handled with sensitivity and urgency, reiterating that the Punjab Government is firmly committed to delivering transparent, responsive and people-centric governance. He added that citizens should not be compelled to make repeated visits to government offices for the resolution of genuine grievances.
Chief Minister Field Officer Arvind Kumar was also present on the occasion and provided updates on pending cases. He coordinated with departmental officials on the spot to expedite necessary action and ensure swift follow-up.
Highlighting the significance of the Chief Minister facilitation Centre, the OSD stated that the facility has emerged as a vital bridge between the government and the public. He informed that he personally visits the centre two to three days a week to interact directly with residents, panches and sarpanches, enabling the administration to stay connected with ground realities and address issues promptly.
He further noted that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann also periodically holds meetings in Dhuri to engage directly with the people and review the progress of developmental initiatives in the constituency.
OSD Sukhveer Singh affirmed that every complaint received at the centre is formally registered and systematically monitored. Regular follow-up is maintained with complainants to keep them informed about the status of their cases, thereby ensuring transparency, accountability and effective service delivery. He assured that the genuine concerns of the residents of Dhuri constituency will be resolved on priority to accelerate the holistic development of the area.
