Orientation program for new students held at Khalsa College

Garhshankar:- An orientation program was held for new students of graduation and post-graduation at Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar. The event, organized with the aim of making the new students aware of the academic environment of the college, activities of various departments, structure of courses, rules of the college and facilities available to the students, began with a warm welcome from the new students.
On this occasion, the Principal of the college, Dr. Amandeep Hira, gave detailed information to the students about various courses, importance of discipline and academic and other facilities provided by the college. He said that the college is committed to providing all possible support and appropriate opportunities for the all-round development of the students.
Prof. Lakhwinderjit Kaur spoke about the cultural activities organized in the college, Dr. Amandeep Kaur Dhillon spoke about the preparation of competitive exams and their importance, Dr. Gurpreet Singh spoke about NCC. The various benefits of and its usefulness in the future were made known.
Dr. Arvinder Kaur informed about the scholarship schemes, Dr. Naresh Kumari informed about the NSS activities and motivated the students to join social service. On this occasion, Dr. Janki Agarwal, Dr. Manbir Kaur and other staff members were present.
