Online inauguration of Sardar Patel Library in Kaimla

Karnal, November 8: Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi inaugurated seven libraries in the state online yesterday. This included the Sardar Patel Library in Kaimla village of the district. This is the sixth library in the district, constructed by the Haryana Electricity Distribution Corporation under the Social Responsibility Scheme.
It cost ?20 lakh to build. Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan had been trying to open a library here for a long time. He is striving to have libraries opened in the larger villages of the constituency.
According to the Corporation's Executive Engineer, Rajiv Dhillon, this air-conditioned library has 2,000 books, five computers with internet access, and seating arrangements for 22 youth. Youth from the villages of Dingar Majra, Kalhedi, Jamalpur, Panaudi, and Garhi Multan, all within a four-kilometer radius of this library, can benefit from this library.
Kaimla village is four kilometers from Gharaunda. The operation of the library has been entrusted to two women of the village on honorarium basis. Proper arrangements have been made for 24-hour electricity supply here. After one year, the operation of the library will be handed over to the Panchayat. The timing of the library has been fixed from 9 am to 5 pm. The books made available here are related to history literature, culture of Haryana, health, stories of Panchatantra, various competitive examinations etc.
On this occasion, Corporation's SE Naseeb Singh, XEN Rajiv Dhillon, Speaker's representative, Sanjay Khainchi, Naresh of Kaimla, Mahendra Singh etc were present.
