One killed four injured in truckcar collision

Hoshiarpur: A truck (tipper) and a Toyota car collided head-on near the Churste bridge near the Bist Dubab Canal on the Mahilpur-Phagwara Road around 5 a.m. today. Five people in the car were seriously injured in the accident, one of whom died during treatment.
According to information received from the scene, at around 5 a.m., a tipper truck was coming from Bahram towards Mahilpur, while a car was coming from the Gadshankar police station area of ??Bhawanipur village on the Bist Dubab Canal road. The driver was on his way to drop his uncle at Amritsar Airport. As the car approached the Churste bridge, it collided head-on with the truck.
The car driver, Ajai Khepad, his uncle Binderpal, his friend Sukhwinder Singh, 13-year-old Krishna (uncle's son), and Parminder Singh Hajipur (maternal uncle's son) were seriously injured in the accident. Passersby rushed them to the government hospital in Mahilpur, where, due to their critical condition, they were referred to other hospitals for further treatment. 13-year-old Krishna was sent to DMC, Ludhiana, while Binderpal was referred to Civil Hospital, Hoshiarpur.
