Nawanshahr- On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Gulpreet Singh Aulakh, honoured female booth-level officers (BLOs) who worked diligently in mapping voter lists across Punjab. Their meticulous efforts were recognized at the district level for their outstanding contributions during the elections.
The Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Gulpreet Singh Aulakh, stated that, following guidance from the Chief Election Officer, Punjab, the female BLOs who performed exceptionally in the three assembly constituencies of the district—046-Banga, 047-Nawanshahr, and 048-Balachaur—were recognized.
From Banga Assembly Constituency, Smt. Anju Bala, Smt. Paramjit Kaur, and Smt. Paramjit Kaur were honoured. From Nawanshahr Assembly Constituency, Smt. Manjit Kaur, Smt. Surinder Kaur, and Smt. Praveen Bhatti received recognition. From Balachaur Assembly Constituency, Smt. Sapna Chaudhary, Smt. Sushma Sharma, and Smt. Rajvinder Kaur were awarded.
The ceremony was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Balbir Raj Singh, Assistant Commissioner General Jagdeep Singh, Jasveer Singh PA to DC, Amandeep Singh (Election Officer), and Babbu Singh.
