Obstructing Womens Participation in Power Will Cost Opposition Parties Dearly Tikshan Sood

Hoshiarpur: In a press note issued by former Cabinet Minister and senior BJP leader Tikshan Sood, it was stated that following a debate held the previous day, a division of votes took place in the Lok Sabha. Out of 528 members, 298 voted in favor of the resolution seeking to include women in the sharing of power within the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies. Conversely, the Congress and other major opposition parties cast 230 votes against the resolution, thereby blocking the passage of this bill introduced for the benefit of women. He asserted that, in accordance with India's cultural ethos, 'Matri Shakti' (the feminine divine/womanhood) has historically enjoyed all the rights and privileges equal to those accorded to men.

As per a verse cited in our scriptures:
"Yatra naryastu pujyante ramante tatra devatah."
This embodies the concept that "where women are revered, there the deities reside."

For a long time, the Congress party has been stalling bills regarding women's reservation by entangling them in various frivolous arguments. Now that the BJP has attempted to give this initiative a final shape, those very Congress members—who were previously obstructing it through a policy of procrastination—have been compelled to come out openly and oppose it without any pretense.
Consequently, the anti-women stance of the opposition has been thoroughly exposed. He further stated that, in the context of Prime Minister Modi's resolve to transform the nation into a 'Developed India' (Viksit Bharat), the opposition has attempted to impede the country's progress by excluding half of the nation's population from participating in the power structure. This move by the opposition will go down in the history of India as a blot.
