Now send Rakhi sitting at home special facilities started by Ferozepur Postal Division
Ferozepur, August 3: To make the auspicious festival of Rakhi—a celebration of the unbreakable bond of love and affection between siblings—even more convenient and memorable, the India Post (Ferozepur Division) has introduced special services for customers. These measures aim to ensure the safe, transparent, and timely delivery of Rakhis.
Providing details on this initiative, Superintendent Ravi Kumar stated that if a customer wishes to send between 10 and 20 (or more) Rakhis at once, the Postal Department offers a free home pickup facility.
Upon receiving a request, a departmental team will visit the customer's home to collect the Rakhi packets, complete the booking process, and issue a receipt. Customers can also make payments online or via QR code. To ensure the Rakhis remain safe, the Postal Department has made special waterproof envelopes and sturdy boxes available.
A key feature of these envelopes and boxes is that they keep the Rakhis completely safe even during the rainy season, eliminating the risk of damage. The Department offers special Rakhi envelopes and boxes in various sizes, priced at ?15, ?20, and ?50. Online tracking via Speed ??Post is also available for Rakhis sent through the Postal Department.
The Superintendent of the Ferozepur Postal Division noted that India Post remains the most reliable, secure, and affordable means of sending Rakhis. As in previous years, a steady increase in Rakhi bookings is being recorded, reflecting the public's growing trust in the Postal Department's services. Special Rakhi booking counters have been set up at major post offices within the Ferozepur Division for the convenience of customers. These special counters will remain open from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM every Sunday and on gazetted holidays until August 28, 2026, to ensure customers face no inconvenience. The Department of Posts (Ferozepur Division) urges all citizens to avail themselves of these special facilities by booking their Rakhis on time, thereby ensuring that the love and affection associated with the sacred festival of Rakhi reach their loved ones punctually.
