NIA files chargesheet against 22nd accused in Bishnoi GangBabbar Khalsa International nexus case
New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency has filed a chargesheet against the 22nd accused in connection with the 2022 Lawrence Bishnoi Gang and Babbar Khalsa International terror-gangster nexus case.
This is the 5th chargesheet filed in the NIA special court in the national capital, in which the anti-terrorism agency has accused the Rahul government of facilitating members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to carry out terrorist activities in India.
According to the NIA, apart from helping the gang members flee the country, the Rahul government was involved in preparing and arranging fake identity documents like Aadhaar cards, voter IDs and bank passbooks for them.
"The accused used fake documents to help the gang members, including co-accused Sachin Bishnoi, flee the country and fraudulently obtain passports to continue their terrorist activities," the NIA said, citing its investigations in the case. "Sarkar is the 22nd accused to be chargesheeted in the case so far. Out of these, 18 accused, including Rahul, have been arrested while four are absconding," the NIA said. The case was originally registered by the Delhi Police Special Cell on August 4, 2022. The NIA took over the investigation on August 26 of the same year.
